Dr Gayathri Alagar Kuppuraj is an HCPC-registered Counselling Psychologist, BPS Chartered Psychologist, and Bond Solon-trained Expert Witness, providing independent psychological assessments and expert reports for legal proceedings.

She prepares clear, impartial, and evidence-based psychological reports for personal injury, family, civil, and other legal matters. Her assessments address psychological diagnosis, formulation, functional impact, prognosis, and treatment recommendations where appropriate.

All reports are prepared objectively and independently in accordance with the Civil Procedure Rules (CPR Part 35), the duties of an expert witness, and current professional standards.

Independent Psychological Assessment

Your appointment is an independent psychological assessment in relation to a legal or medico-legal matter. It is an objective assessment and is not a therapy or treatment session.

During your assessment, Dr Gayathri will:

  • Discuss the circumstances relevant to your assessment.
  • Explore your psychological symptoms and current wellbeing.
  • Review relevant medical and other documentation where available.
  • Conduct a comprehensive psychological assessment.
  • Provide an independent psychological opinion regarding diagnosis, functional impact, prognosis, and treatment recommendations where appropriate.
Expert Psychological Report

A comprehensive expert psychological report may be prepared for use in connection with your legal proceedings.

Important Notice

As an independent expert witness, Dr Gayathri's duty is to the Court.

She provides impartial, objective and evidence-based opinions and does not act on behalf of any party involved in the case.

Appointment Booking

Once we receive your instructions, our administration team will contact you to arrange an appointment at a convenient time.

Your Assessment

During your assessment, Dr Gayathri will:

  • Discuss your background and circumstances.
  • Explore symptoms and current functioning.
  • Review relevant medical records.
  • Undertake a comprehensive assessment.
  • Assess the impact on work, education and relationships.
  • Prepare an independent report in accordance with CPR Part 35.

Report Preparation

Following your assessment, the report will be completed and sent to the instructing solicitor, organisation or Court where appropriate.

  • Independent expert report prepared.
  • Sent to the instructing party.
  • Clarification requests handled objectively.
  • Prepared in accordance with expert witness duties.
Fees & Payment

Payment Information

Fee arrangements vary depending on whether your assessment has been arranged through a solicitor, agency, insurer, or directly with Trinaya.

Legal Instructions

Agency or Solicitor Instructions

Where your appointment has been arranged by a solicitor, agency, insurer, or other instructing organisation, all fee arrangements are managed directly between the instructing party and the expert.

You will not normally be required to make any payment.
Self-Funded

Private Assessments

If you are arranging a private psychological assessment directly with Trinaya, payment must be made in full before your appointment.

Assessment fees and payment instructions will be provided once your booking has been confirmed.
Privacy & Confidentiality

Data Protection & Security

Your personal information is handled confidentially and securely in accordance with:

  • Data Protection Act 2018
  • HCPC Standards of Conduct, Performance and Ethics
  • Applicable legal and professional obligations

Information relating to your assessment and expert report will only be shared with authorised parties directly involved in your case, where appropriate, including:

  • The instructing solicitor
  • The Court
  • Insurers (where applicable)
  • Rehabilitation providers (where applicable)
  • Other authorised parties authorised to receive the report

Secure Technology Provider

Trinaya uses Trikon Digital Ltd as its secure technology provider for appointment management, secure communications, digital questionnaires, document management, and the secure preparation and delivery of psychological reports.

Security Measures

All electronic communications and records are protected using industry-standard security measures, including encrypted data transmission, secure cloud hosting within the UK, role-based access controls, and comprehensive audit logging, helping to ensure the confidentiality and integrity of your personal information.

Complaints Procedure

We are committed to providing professional, independent, and high-quality psychological assessment and expert witness services. If you have any concerns regarding your appointment or expert report, please contact us in writing at:

Complaints will normally be acknowledged within 3 working days and, where reasonably practicable, a full response will be provided within 20 working days.

Complaints relating to the content of an independent expert psychological report will be referred to Dr Gayathri Alagar Kuppuraj for review. As an independent expert witness, her overriding duty is to the Court, and any review will be undertaken in accordance with the applicable professional and legal obligations.

If you remain dissatisfied following our response, you may raise your concerns with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) where appropriate, or seek independent legal advice if your concerns relate to ongoing legal proceedings.
